Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating needles into various points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes. It is based on the belief that living beings have a vital energy, called "qi", that circulates through twelve invisible energy lines known as meridians on the body. Each meridian is associated with a different organ system. There are over 1,000 acupuncture points on the body.

As a natural form of healing, acupuncture has the following benefits:

  • assists in the prevention against disease and illness as well as the maintenance of general well-being
  • effectively treats a wide range of acute and chronic ailments
  • treats the underlying cause of disease and illness as well as the symptoms
  • provides an holistic approach to the treatment of disease and illness
  • provides drug-free pain relief
